Events at Eden Park
The Dick Smith NRL league nines will be held at Eden Park on Saturday and Sunday February 15-16.
Both Barbarians boxes have been sold out for both days of the nines, so the clubrooms will be open on both days. Although members without box tickets are not able to go into either of the club boxes, members attending the tournament are welcome to come into the clubrooms at any time. Please ensure you have your 2014 membership cards to show security staff on the ground floor.
Super Rugby gets underway at Eden Park on February 28 and the list of games to follow are:
February 28 – Blues v Crusaders
March 22 – Blues v Cheetahs
March 29 – Blues v Highlanders
April 25 – Blues v Waratahs
May 2 – Blues v Reds
May 31 – Blues v Hurricanes
June 7 – All Blacks v England
July 11 – Blues v Chiefs
August 23 – All Blacks v Australia
Membership cards
To date, 198 members have paid their subscription for 2014 and have received their new cards in the mail.
The new club members’ cards for 2014 are white and are being issued as and when subscription payments are received.
If you intend coming into the club this weekend or on future game days, please ensure you bring your membership cards to show security staff on the ground floor at Gate C, before coming up in the lift to the clubrooms.
Mt Maunganui bowls tournament
Each year, for a number of years now, Barbarian members have participated in the Mt Maunganui rugby sports bowls tournament. This year, two teams from the club participated in the tournament and although the results weren’t in our favour, everyone had a great time.
