Fuel card discount scheme – Baabaa members benefit
The club is pleased to announce a member benefit in the form of a very generous Mobil fuel card discount scheme.
An 8.5 cents per litre discount is available at all Mobil service stations and a large number of Pak ‘n Save and New World supermarkets. Full details of the scheme will be published in our next Barbarians club newsletter, together with application forms.
We encourage members to take advantage of this scheme as not only do our members benefit from the discount, the club also receives 2.0 cents per litre on all purchases.

During the Super Rugby competition break in June, the Barbarians will play the Blues in Whangarei on Friday June 13.
The Baabaas team will be made up of Northland players with Blues reserves, Auckland, North Harbour and ‘invited’ players making up the rest of the team. A number of club management will attend the match and we hope Northland members will also enjoy the occasion.
Barbarians v Highlanders
In addition to the Blues game, the Barbarians will play the Highlanders in Invercargill on Friday June 20.
The Baabaas team will be made up of Highlanders reserves, Southland and Canterbury players. Leicester Rutledge (NZ Barbarian) will manage the Baabaas team and president Bryan Williams, past president Mike Mills and club captain Mark Moore will attend the match.

Junior World Championship finals
The Junior World Championship finals will be played at Eden Park on Friday June 20.
There will be three games, with the first starting at 2.35pm, the second at 5.00pm and the final at 7.35pm. The clubrooms will be open for the finals and box seats will be sold on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. Unfortunately, at this stage, we don’t know the price of the tickets but we will let you know as soon as possible.
Eden Park tours
In the last newsletter, information was provided about the Eden Park Trust revamp of its ‘Visitors to Eden Park’ programme.
It was thought that a number of ‘senior’ Barbarians with a wealth of knowledge and experience of Eden Park would jump at the chance to talk to visitors to the park about events and special occasions that they knew about or were actually involved in. The revamp is still going ahead and the request for volunteers is still out there, so, if you would like to join the group of Eden Park tour guides, please contact the secretary.
