Barbarians Primary Schools Fun Day

This is perhaps the biggest day of the year for Baabaa members to gather and enjoy a great occasion and for many members to assist, take part or just be there.

Our annual Barbarians Primary Schools Rugby Fun Day will be held at Ngataringa Bay, Navy Sports fields, on Sunday May 25, starting at 8.30am.

This year is the 25th occasion the Fun Day has been held, so we hope Baabaa members will stay at the end of the Fun Day to socialise in the Navy sports clubrooms at the grounds and enjoy a drink with your friends.

We look forward to seeing you this Sunday.

Newsletter

Campbell Burnes has compiled another excellent newsletter and this will be distributed within the next few days.

This newsletter is going to be posted to all members this time as it contains an application form for the Mobil fuel discount card scheme that has been implemented as a fundraising project for the club.

We hope you will take part in the fuel card scheme, to help benefit the club.

Also included in the mailout of the newsletter and the fuel discount card application form will be the ‘Red Booklet’, the annual booklet that provides you with club management contacts, event dates, game dates and a list of members.

Apologies for the late distribution of this booklet, for reasons outside our control, but we hope you enjoy all items when you receive them.

Website photo archive

There are a number of excellent photos, many taken by our club photographer, Terry Horne in the clubrooms and elsewhere, over the past few years. They are on our website under the photo archive below:

Many of the people photographed have been identified but also, many haven’t. If you can help us identify individuals that have not been named, please help us.

Please contact Campbell Burnes at cmburnes@hotmail.com

Eden Park tours

We are still looking for volunteers to join with Eden Park Trust staff to show visitors to Eden Park the many interesting facilities, memorabilia rooms and features of the venue.

We are sure that many of our members, with their in-depth knowledge of events and activities at the park, would be excellent ambassadors for the park and would give visitors a wonderful array of stories and memories that they would never forget.

Please let the secretary know if you would like to be a volunteer. I am assured it is not an onerous task and you can suit yourself when you make yourself available.

Contact sec@brfc.co.nz or phone 846-7241.
